The Business Psychologist is led by Professor Matthew Davis, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Associate Dean (Culture & Inclusion) at Leeds University Business School. Matthew is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Expert Member of the UK Ministry of Defence Research Ethics Committee and former Deputy Chair of BPS Ethics Committee.
His work focuses on how organisations design work, workplaces, and cultures that enable people and performance to thrive. His research explores the future of work, including hybrid working, socio-technical workplace design, organisational culture, leadership, and responsible business.
He has worked with organisations across the public and private sectors, including Rolls-Royce, the UK Government, Arup, Atkins, Leeds City Council, and British Gas.
Alongside his academic role, Matthew undertakes selective external advisory work through The Business Psychologist Ltd, helping organisations apply evidence-based organisational psychology to real-world challenges.
